B, Baby, B

When no one quite knows yet
that you are here,
a baby bump
in the overall scheme of
everyday life,
riding to infinity,
possibilities streaming
like that dimple in Beethoven's ear,
glorious music
bopping, bursting forth,
bringing hope
with your first flutter.
That's when
I believe, baby.

Leda at almost 2 (February 2014)
I'm a grandmother and just now I've learned that little Leda Rose will have a baby sister or a baby brother, a few days after Halloween. I say, "Trick or treat!"

And on we go with the A to Z Challenge. Read what those other 2,000 plus bloggers are writing here.  Note: That gorgeous letter "B" is the work of Jeremy Hawkins.

Nice poem! And new babies are wonderful. Best of luck to the family and to you in your self-publishing venture! I'm going to look up your book. Scotland is one of my favorite places on Earth.
