J is for Just

As in . . .
Just play me some of that
rock and roll music . . .
Any old way you choose it.
Take me back to those Saturday night
concerts, hundreds of kids standing in line,
all of us hoping to get inside,
all of us wanting just to dance
to the beat of Chuck Berry's thumping guitar,
not quite acid, but sliding that way,
nonstop music, one hit after another,
everybody grinning
flower children, eyes shut, swinging,
grooving, dancing, just dancing.
Were we ever so young?

Here's Chuck Berry's concert in Toronto in 1969, 45 minutes of fine music. Enjoy!
